1. Scope
These Terms of Service apply to all services provided by Verified Metrics (Christopher Geyer, appding.de). By using our services, you accept these terms.
2. Service Description
2.1 What is Verified Metrics?
Verified Metrics is a trust verification platform that aggregates business metrics from payment platforms (Stripe, LemonSqueezy, Polar, Paddle, Chargebee, DodoPayment) and displays them on public trust pages.

3. API Key Provision & Liability
⚠️ Important Notice on API Key Security
3.1 User Responsibility
The user is solely responsible for the security, storage, and proper use of their API keys. This includes:
- Secure storage of the API key
- Immediate change of the key if compromise is suspected
- Use of keys with minimal permissions (read-only where possible)
3.2 Encrypted Storage
We store your API keys exclusively encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and only for the purpose of fetching metrics.
3.3 Disclaimer
Verified Metrics is not liable for damages caused by compromised, stolen, or misused API keys, unless caused by our gross negligence or intent.
4. Availability
4.1 Payment Platform APIs
We cannot guarantee the availability, accessibility, or functionality of external APIs (Stripe, LemonSqueezy, Polar, Paddle, Chargebee, DodoPayment). Outages or changes to these APIs may affect Verified Metrics functionality.
4.2 Service Availability
We strive for high availability of our service but do not guarantee any specific uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.
5. Metrics Accuracy
5.1 No Guarantee
We assume no liability for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of displayed metrics. Data is obtained from the respective payment platforms and may be subject to delays or inaccuracies.
5.2 Update Interval
Metrics are updated hourly. Real-time data is not available.
6. Subscription Terms
6.1 Billing
Payments for PRO and WHITELABEL are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe.
6.2 Cancellation
Cancellations are possible at any time effective at the end of the current billing period. Cancellation is done via the Stripe Customer Portal.
6.3 Refunds
No pro-rata refund is given for early cancellation of prepaid amounts.
6.4 Payment Failure
In case of failed payment, we grant a 7-day grace period to update the payment method. After expiration, the subscription will be downgraded to FREE.
7. User Obligations
7.1 Accurate Information
The user agrees to provide truthful information and not publish misleading content.
7.2 API Key Security
The user must keep their API keys confidential and change them immediately if compromise is suspected.
7.3 Prohibited Use
The following uses are prohibited:
- Misuse of the service for fraudulent purposes
- Display of false or misleading metrics
- Automated mass requests (except via our API)
- Any use that violates applicable law
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Limitation
Our liability is limited to cases of intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations.
8.2 Maximum Amount
Liability is in any case limited to the amount paid by the user in the last 12 months, up to a maximum of €500.00.
9. Changes to Terms
9.1 Notification
Material changes to these terms will be announced by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
9.2 Acceptance
Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
Place of jurisdiction is Marktoberdorf, Germany, where legally permissible.
11. Severability Clause
Should any provision of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. In place of the invalid provision, a valid provision shall be deemed agreed that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
